Medical Education Unit (MEU) of Comilla Medical College (CoMC) continuously working for students and future doctors to make them oriented to the real needs of the community. The quality of health care is under security all over the world become of increasing public expectation of their health care services. With the application of knowledge and skills of medical science, future doctors should satisfy their patients with the changing needs of the community. MEU of this medical college perusing diverse academic activities enhancing quality medical education since its establishment. It is committed to promote and provide support in undergraduate and postgraduate education program and continuing professional development.

Works of Medical Education Unit CoMC at glance:

• To improve medical education mainly focused on students.
• It also working development of academic efficiency of the teachers.
• Providing support developing a productive working relationship between the faculties, students and academic council.
• Educate the students to become outstanding clinicians who have the skills and passion to improve the health of the world’s people through research, innovation, and leadership.
• Cooperate and coordinate in the Quality Assurance Scheme (QAS).
• In collaboration with phase coordination committee under the guidance of Principal and Vice-principal this unit arrange classes on medical humanities.
• Schedule of integrated teaching season in collaboration with phase coordination committee.
• Organized bi-weekly departmental seminar for academic year.
• Organized departmental complicated case presentation in grand round session bi-weekly.
• Organized special seminar, symposium and workshop conducted by different faculties on different challenging issues and recent medical advancement.
• Observe different special days by arranging rally, seminar and symposium.
• Provide facilities to access national and international journals.
• Provide support publication of Journal of Comilla Medical College Teachers Association.
• Research methodology workshops are organized for faculty members and for new post graduate trainees to improve the quality of research.
• In collaboration with Centre for Medical Education (CME), Director General of Health Services arrange training program on Teaching Methodology and Assessment.

It is the high time for MEU of CoMC to ensure a world standard medical education for the medical students of CoMC. So that they can take the health responsibility to build a healthy, wealthy, brave nation. We hope that the present activities of MEU in CoMC will guide the students in development of their skills, and attitude which they must achieve through the learning process.
